The design concept for the gatehouse is to create an iconic image for Pinewood Studios. The roof canopy, that expands the entry/exit roads, has a plan shape that reflects the corporate logo for Pinewood Studios. The Gatehouse accommodation consists of a glass enclosed building on the North side that will accommodate security facilities on the ground floor. There are also support space and lavatory facilities; as well as a spiral stair and lift access to the first floor level above the security offices. The spiral stair continues to a roof level, which will provide access for visitors to view the studio complex and for maintenance.
