Ken Adams | Chairman
Ken is a founding director of LIFE Build with responsibility for leading the Executive team on strategic matters, overseeing the company’s business, and setting high governance standards.
Ken passionately believes in the culture and values of the Company and most importantly the people who work within the LIFE Build organisation. Our staff are its most valuable asset and our Directors are responsible for ensuring that they create an environment in which people can succeed, enjoy coming to work and look forward to life’s challenges.
Ken trained as a Quantity Surveyor and has gained over 40 years experience working for both public and private sector clients. Ken is a member and a Director of the Hertfordshire housing conference.
Mike Wilde | BSc. (Hons), FCIOB | Executive Director
Mike is a founding director of LIFE Build. He has responsibility for strategic direction and for all aspects of project delivery.
Mike believes that the key to success lies in careful planning and preparation to ensure resources are available and decisions are made in good time.
This means site activities can be undertaken in an efficient and productive way and projects are safely delivered to a high standard, at the right time and the right cost.
Mike achieves performance excellence by employing the highest calibre people and giving them a supportive environment where they can enjoy working and use their strengths to achieve success for themselves, LIFE Build and its clients. This approach has been fundamental to the development and growth of the business and the high number of returning clients.
John Papworth | Managing Director
John is Managing Director, responsible for the strategic direction, operational performance and ongoing development of LIFE Build. He takes pride in supporting the continued growth of the business and the success of the teams within it.
John believes that successful projects are built on strong relationships, honesty, collaboration and clear communication. He works closely with clients, consultants and project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest standards of quality.
With extensive experience across a wide range of sectors, John brings a strong commercial focus and a pragmatic approach to leadership. He is passionate about developing people, creating a positive team culture and building lifelong partnerships.
Dannie Bonner | Construction Director
Dannie is a highly skilled construction professional with a strong focus on operational excellence. Throughout his career, he has held various site-based and construction management roles, progressing to senior leadership positions in regional construction firms.
As Operations Director for several years at another regional contractor, Dannie played a pivotal role in transforming a traditional contracting business into a modern construction company, overseeing production, aftercare, and preconstruction activities.
Dannie takes pride in the strong, long-lasting relationships he has built with clients, staff, and subcontractors. His excellent reputation for quality, safety, and budget management has resulted in consistent repeat business and trust across the industry.
Martin Brackpool | Business Development Director
Martin joined LIFE Build at the start of 2019 and has full responsibility for all sales, marketing and business development activities for the company. With over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry where Martin has held Director positions with several of the top 20 main contractors, Martin brings to LIFE Build his extensive experience in aiding profitable growth and his wealth of private and public-sector clients and contacts.
Martin believes a key account approach offering LIFE Build clients a solution and actions mentality is vital for sustainable growth via repeat business.
Pari Dickson | (FCCA, MBA) | Finance Director
Pari is a qualified professional with more than 30 years’ of experience in the field of Finance, ERP implementation and Commercial Management. She has university degrees in economics, MBA and is Fellow Member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Pari joined LIFE Build in 2017 as Finance Director, responsible for all finance functions across the business. Pari previously held a range of senior finance roles at Trafalgar Group PLC, Lloyds Register of Shipping PLC and has vast experience in the construction and engineering industry, restructuring and implementing and transforming financial systems and operations across the globe with recent experience of working with privately owned companies, working directly and in close partnership with the entrepreneur owners, building efficient finance team, systems and processes to facilitate smooth running of the business. Pari’s key focus on cash management of the business, along with building a very good relationship with LIFE Build’s internal and external stakeholders is key in supporting the company’s culture and commitment to treating suppliers and subcontractors fairly.
