This project to provide assisted living accommodation involved demolishing an existing building and constructing a new timber framed unit of 16 flats split over two floors.
Each floor has 8 flats, plus an office, laundry, communal lounge and kitchen with two timber staircases to the upper floors. Flats were fully finished with white goods, CO detection and a warden-alarm system. External cladding was a mix of brick, render and timber and with a tiled roof.
Site access was highly restricted and we needed to ensure access to existing properties at the end of the cul-de-sac. Our approach to this gained a ‘Beyond Compliance’ certificate awarded by the Considerate Contractors scheme.
