Technicolor Refit, Pinewood Studios, Iver

This project at Technicolor involved the Fit Out of 42,000 Sqft of processing, recording and commercial office space. This has subsequently been upgraded to provide new commercial offices and open plan areas, including break out rooms, production rooms for digital programming, sound proofed recording studios, two server rooms housing 60 Racks for IT distribution with CAT6 e, voice and data cabling networked throughout the building.

The offices had high specification partitions with a collection of glazed and heavily insulated sound proofed partitions with complementary lay in grid or MF type ceilings. New heavy duty raised access floors were installed where required, whilst the existing raised access floors were adapted to suit the revised layout. In addition, we installed a mobile archive storage system.

The M&E specification was intricate and complicated and included new lighting, upgrading of the existing new power and the provision of a UPS system. The mechanical installation included ductwork, insulation, new AC units to suite the Server requirements with particular attention being paid to the reduction of noise generated by the mechanical plant bearing in mind the end users business requirements and the integration of the new systems with the existing M&E services to ensure minimum disruption.

The building was finally decorated and new floor coverings provided including specialist treatments where required.

All of the works were carried out whilst technicolor remained in occupation.
