St Helen’s Junior School, Northwood, London

St Helen’s is a leading independent day school for over 1150 girls aged 3-18 and is a member of the Girls’ Schools Association (GSA). The spacious and beautiful 21-acre site is conveniently located in the heart of Northwood in North London. We were awarded the construction of a new Junior School in the grounds of the existing school campus complete with classrooms, hall, specialist rooms, staff and ancillary areas on part single and part two storey with a gross internal floor area of 2,124m2.  The construction included, piled foundations, structural steel frame, brick and terracotta tile cladding, significant areas of glazing, landscaped flat roofs, and full mechanical & electrical services. There is also extensive hard and soft landscaping, drainage and external services. Certain elements of enabling work required completion during the recent summer holidays and included the construction of a drainage attenuation tank in the existing retained car park.
