Work began with demolition of the existing two-storey library, followed by construction of a dining room extension topped with a new two-storey library. The structural frame combined reinforced concrete up to first-floor level with cross-laminated timber panels above, while intricate elevations featured windows, curtain walling, and perforated rainscreen cladding, with rainwater pipes neatly integrated within the facade. Internal finishes included hardwood flooring, bespoke library joinery, and acoustic ceilings.
Phase two, was the refurbished the Sixth Form area on the second floor of an adjacent block. Phase three took place over the summer holidays, involving internal remodelling and a passenger lift replacement. Phase four completed the project with new external works in the courtyard, including a Biology Garden.
